Suggested Sides & Pairing

A seafood boil is bold, briny, and full of the flavor—so the best pairings either refresh the palate, add crunch, or complement the seasoning (Old Bay/Cajun-style). Here are some ideas you can use for your family meals or social gatherings:

Fresh & Bright Sides (to balance richness)

  • Coleslaw (classic or vinegar-based) – crunch + acidity cuts the butter
  • Cucumber tomato salad – light, hydrating, herb-forward
  • Watermelon & feta salad – sweet-salty contrast works great with spice
  • Citrus avocado salad – bright and creamy without being heavy

Carb Add-Ons (for soaking up flavor)

  • Garlic bread or toasted baguette – essential for dipping in broth
  • Cornbread – slightly sweet to balance spice
  • Hush puppies – crispy, indulgent Southern vibe

Grilled or Roasted Veggies (adds depth)

  • Grilled asparagus with lemon – clean + slightly smoky
  • Roasted Brussels sprouts – crispy, nutty contrast
  • Grilled zucchini or green beans – simple and seasonal
