We hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! This 4th of July, Stefania Valencia from our dispatch/production team represented Lusamerica in the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest 5K Run. We are proud to have been a sponsor for Morgan Hill Freedom Fest that takes place in our headquarters’ hometown, celebrating America’s 250th birthday, and the city of Morgan Hill’s 151st anniversary.
What is the Freedom Fest?
The Morgan Hill Freedom Fest has been a continuous tradition hosted since 1875. Freedom Fest is an all-day event that compiles a variety of different fun, family friendly activities starting with a parade in the morning and ending with a firework/entertainment show at night. Before the traditions modernized to meet today’s expectations, many activities during this event used to be as simple as bike racing, and band performances. Attached below is a photo of a bike race hosted during a Morgan Hill Freedom Fest circa the early 1900’s.

Supporting our Company’s Hometown
The Freedom Fest is hosted in our company’s hometown; we were beyond thankful to have had the opportunity of supporting this community. We thought it’d be fit to have someone from our Morgan Hill team representing Lusamerica at the Freedom Fest 5K! We’d like to thank The City of Morgan Hill one last time for this opportunity, and how happy we are as a company to be able to give back to the once small-town that started it all!
